The North Jersey Area Local is the largest American Postal Workers Union in the State of New Jersey. Representing 1600 Clerk, Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Service USPS employees. In 123 Offices and 2 Processing and Distribution Centers throughout Northern and Southern New Jersey.
The North Jersey Area Local is responsible for contract enforcement, negotiating Local Memorandum’s of Understanding and the filing and processing of grievances at the local level.
The North Jersey Area Local is run by 3 full time Officers and a 7-member Executive Board which are democratically elected by the members every 3 years.
